Prince come back with a new release after the double publication of 2014: revealed by the 3 girls of his band.

Prince Rogers Nelson, best known as Prince, is a singer, composer, producer, actor, director an many more, popular most of all during the 80′ and 90′. In 2004 the magazine Rolling Stone included him in the list of 100 best artists at the 27th position.

Non conformist musician and fanatic of control, Prince has always looked for new ways to distribute his music. In the past he sold his CDs in outlets, stands, he created a website where he published his albums, he started a communication with his fans opening profiles on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Then, suddenly, he closed them. The only connections he has with internet are with Soundcloud and Tidal, a platform born with some artists’ will, Jay-Z in collaboration with Madonna, Daft Punk, Jack White, Nicki Minaj and others.

The artist of Minneapolis already announced, from early August, that he will abandone, for the release of his new studio trial, traditional labels, defining record contracts like a “slavery form”.

“Hit’n’run” is the title of Prince new album realized with his new female band, the 3rdEyeGirl: Tidal’s members will be able to listen the release connecting to this adress. The non members of Tidal are anyway allowed to listen a 30 second preview of each song. Among the 11 tracks in the outline there are the single “HARDROCKLOVER” and a new version of “This could B us”, song already included in the album “Art Official age” of 2014. The physical edition of “Hit N Run” will be available from next 15th September.

The choice to be present only on Tidal is coherent with his disinterest for social networks and Internet, that however contain a clear message: remain on a platform that is built on the philosophy “from the artists for the artists”, to defend their rights and rewards. And his in a good company: colleagues like Taylor Swifts and Tom York from Radiohead had often polemicized with the streaming.

“Prince has always been a visionary, a free-thinker. We’re honored to offer his breadth of work, 1999, Purple Rain, etc., music that has inspired so many, on Tidal. We’re also excited to be the home for his new upcoming album, HitNRun. Both Prince and Tidal share the belief that all creatives should have the opportunity to speak directly to those that love and support them. This partnership with Prince represents Tidal’s philosophy in its truest form, a 1 to 1 connection and direct delivery of artistry to the world.” Jay Z
